Estelle Getty Passes Away
Sadly, Estelle Getty, better known as Sophia Petrillo on The Golden Girls, passed away on July 22, 2008 just three days shy of her 85th birthday. She will be greatly missed and her humor and laughter will live on in the GG forever.

The Human Q-Tip
I recently read on Yahoo's front page that a man who is likely to become the next prime minister of Australia was caught on video tape doing something bizarre, horribly embarrassing, and just plain funny.
In the background of a video captured by a Parliament camera, Kevin Rudd is supposedly seen putting his finger in his ear, and then putting the same finger in his mouth.
Why would a person do that? I'm aghast.
How could you show your face again, after this has been plastered all over the web, let alone be the head of Australia?!
Now that's funny.

The Price is Right
Wow, Drew Carey's first day on the Price is Right was a big success as every contestant came away a winner, making his debut a perfect game. He has such an infectious laugh and such a warm demeanor & I'm glad he was chosen as the new host!

Long, Miserable Summer
Well here it is October already, the air is finally getting crisp and before we know it, it's Christmas and 2007 will be gone.
I for one am glad the last few months are over. Our cat Julius died in August after a battle all summer long with kidney disease, so this is one summer I'd really like to forget. It still bothers me to talk about it, so that's all I have to say about that ala Forrest Gump.
On a brighter note, we did get an adorable kitten, although we certainly didn't plan on getting another cat anytime soon, if at all. But, there were so many coincidences and different things that convinced us that she was meant to be with us. So we brought her home, named her Cleopatra, and here she is a month later running around the house like a complete lunatic.
